Description
The Yongnuo YN 100 mm f/2.0 is a short, high-brightness telephoto portrait lens designed to work with full-frame cameras equipped with the Canon EF mount.
Portrait telephoto lens
The 100mm focal length lens offers a narrow angle of view that is ideal for reportage, studio and portrait photography. The long focal length strongly shortens the perspective emphasising the subject of the photo and creating a wonderful bokeh (blurring the background). The zoom offered allows the photographer to shoot from a distance without interacting with the model being photographed.
Large brightness
The large aperture guarantees more light reaching the sensor. Shorter shutter speeds can therefore be used, even in difficult lighting conditions. The wide range of aperture settings (ranging from f/2.0 to f/19) allows comfortable and precise control over depth of field. The maximum aperture (f/2.0) is a shallow depth of field that allows the main subject of the photo to be highlighted by blurring the background. The f/19 aperture, on the other hand, allows more detail to be captured in the scene being photographed and sharpness to be maintained in all planes.
Precise AF
The Yongnuo YN 100mm f/2.0 features a state-of-the-art autofocus (AF) system for fast and precise focusing. The AF / MF switch located on the side of the housing allows you to switch to manual focus mode whenever you need manual focus control. Working with the lens is also made easier with an easy to read depth of field scale. The minimum focusing distance is 0.9 metres.
Optical design
The optical design of the Yongnuo YN 100mm f/2.0 consists of 8 lenses arranged in 6 groups. The lens works with both full-frame sensors and cameras equipped with APS-C format sensors (taking into account the focal length multiplier). A thread located on the front of the lens allows filters with a diameter of 58 mm to be mounted.

A built-in micro USB port allows the lens software to be updated to make it fully compatible with the latest camera bodies.
