Laowa Probe 24mm f / 14 is a macro lens like no other. Original design allows you to look at the world from close, very close. Enchant an unusual perspective and even look under the surface of the water. Cine lens version is equipped with a toothed ring for working with professional focusing systems.
Unusual but effective
The unusual appearance of the lens is not a whim of designers. It was dictated by the tasks which it has to cope with. Lens measure 41 cm long and has a front optical element of less than 2 cm in diameter. This allows for discrete close-up to your subject and getting to places previously unreachable.
The large scale mapping (2:1) and a small minimum focusing distance (20 mm from the front lens) will allow you to discover the world of macro photography from a previously unknown side. Photograph insects in their natural environment, imperceptibly penetrates through the maze of leaves or look in the interior of the bottle. Creating the perfect composition will by possible by setting the focus to infinity.
Advanced technology in your hands
Long, made entirely of a metal lens barrel hides extremely complex optics, composed of as many as 27 lenses, arranged in 19 groups. Focal length of 24 mm provides a field of view of 85 °. Thanks to this you will be able to include the scenery in which it is located and keep much more detail than conventional macro lenses.

Light in the tunnel
Such advanced optical design and the size of the front element substantially reduce the amount of light reaching the image. The minimum aperture is only f/14, so the object must be well lit. Lens Manufacturer, however, did not leave her child in the darkness without a secret weapon. Nine LEDs, miniature lamp forming a ring around the front of the lens will allow you to effectively illuminate subject even in complete darkness. The lamp can be powered from an external power source (eg. Power bank) with the included USB cable.
Lens for special tasks
What else can you do with a wide angle lens for macro photography with an unusual shape, additionally equipped with a ring-shaped LED lamp? Well, you can put it under water! A front element (20 cm from the front lens) Laowa Probe 24 mm f / 14 is in fact sealed against moisture, dust and weather conditions. You don’t need to be afraid to dip in the aquarium, lake or carbonated drink with bubbles. This opens up great possibilities in photography aquarium, product and culinary applications or video. Attention! Flooding USB port can cause damage to the lens.

Laowa Probe 24 mm f/14 is available with EF, Nikon F, Sony Pentax E and K mounts. In combination with a range of adapters this lens is compatible with any camera mount system.
Dedicated to filmmakers
