The Laowa Proteus 2X Anamorphic lens transforms image data from a 43 sensor into a 2.661 aspect ratio and from a 65 sensor into a 2.41 ratio, with cropping options for a 2.391 aspect ratio. It supports S35+ sensor formats, covering the Alexa 35 and Red V-Raptor 7K sensors.

With a large T2 aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions, producing sharp images and effective background separation. Optimal image quality is achieved at T4 aperture. The close focus distance is just 48 cm, and the 2x squeeze factor creates elongated bokeh, characteristic of anamorphic lenses.

Available flare colors include blue, amber, or silver.
