With Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, Sony photographers get a versatile wide-angle lens that captures much of the surroundings without providing an overly dramatic perspective. Ideal for landscape photography, architecture, indoors, street photography and concerts.
Quick and quiet
Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 is especially designed for Sony's mirrorless system cameras (E / FE mount) and has quick and quiet autofocus that is ideal for both photography and video recording. It also supports Sony's special focus techniques Fast Hybrid AF (combined contrast and phase detecting focus) and Eye AF (automatic focus on the subject's eyes). Direct Manual Focus (DMF) allows you to quickly change the focus manually without having to switch focus method.
Superb optical quality
To provide the highest possible image quality at full aperture, a carefully selected combination of aspherical lenses and Low Dispersion (LD) glass is used to minimize chromatic aberration. Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1: 2 is also compatible with Sony's automatic lens correction that corrects any remaining image distortions.
Tamron's advanced Broadband Anti-Reflection coating (BBAR) also effectively reduces veils, ghosting and reflexes and guarantees images with high contrast and brilliance even in difficult lighting situations such as low sun, spotlights at concerts and motifs with reflective details. The result are images with superb rendition of details as well as colors.
Compact and weatherproof design
Despite its high optical performance, Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1: 2 is a small and light wide-angle lens that fits perfectly on a mirrorless camera body. In addition, the construction is weatherproof thanks to rubber gaskets that prevent moisture and dust from penetrating the housing. In other words - no need to worry about the lens if you're surprised by a rain shower! Another advantage is fluorine coating on the front element. It repels water drops, dirt and oil and facilitates cleaning.
Exceptional close focus capability
Being able to get really close to the subject is one of the most desirable features of a wide-angle lens, and here Tamron really shines. The minimum focus is only 12 cm, which means that achieve a magnification ratio of 1: 2 (0.5x magnification). Almost like a real macro lens and great when you want to capture a dramatic close-up with blurred background!
