Pentax HD DA 11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW is a fast wide-angle zoom for cameras with APS-C sensors. Its excellent sharpness and resolution even at full aperture (2.8) makes this lens a perfect representative of Pentax's high-quality Star series.
The focal length range corresponds to 17-27.5mm on a full-frame camera and together with a minimum focus of only 30 cm, it offers great creative opportunities, for example in landscape photography, urban environments, festivals and reportage.
The lens has a solid, weather sealed construction to be able to cope even with rainy or dusty condtions. A DC motor provides smooth and quiet focus and the lens also features a quick-shift mechanism allowing the user to instantly switch between auto and manual focus.
9 rounded apertures blades provide a circular aperture for soft and beautiful bokeh while multilayer HD coating provides high contrast in all lighting conditions and also contributes to Pentax's exquisite color rendition.
A water and grease-repellent SP coating ensures that the front lens element remains clean with minimal need for maintenance.
