The Pentax WG-90 features a compact design similar to previous models, with a 5x optical zoom equivalent to 28mm to 140mm in 35mm format. Its versatile zoom range makes it suitable for various photography styles, from landscapes and underwater shots to travel and portraits.

With a durable exterior, the camera is easy to handle even while wearing gloves in cold conditions or underwater. It is waterproof up to 14 meters for two hours (IPX 8), shock-resistant from falls of up to 1.6 meters, and can withstand weights of up to 100 kgf.

Equipped with a 16.0 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, the camera produces high-sensitivity images with low noise. Effective image stabilization allows for comfortable shooting in low light or underwater.

The camera includes underwater and underwater video modes designed to effectively counteract contrast loss due to light scattering in water while enhancing red tones that fade underwater. These exclusive modes allow users to capture sharp and clear underwater images. The underwater mode offers a flash off + flash on option, enabling users to take two images in one shutter releaseone without flash and one with.
